T. Harv Eker's Life Philosophies

Following statement I copied from T. Harv Eker's Notes on his FB.
His my mentor on creating the money blueprint.
He's a very good teacher and very good in sales.
I highly recommend you to read his book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind:Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth"

Find him on Facebook

People often ask me about my philosophies on life. I am a pretty simple guy and I can sum up most of them right here. The lessons below have made me the man I am today.

  1. Give 100% or 0%. If you are not going to give everything you've got, don't get involved at all.
  2. Focus on what you want, not what you don't want.
  3. Create your own definition of success and live by it.
  4. Whatever you're considering, start doing. Get in the game and make corrections from there.
  5. There are no straight lines in the universe. You must zig zag your way to success.
  6. Love and respect yourself. You can't give what you don't get.

Lesson from Da Vinci

Earlier today, I was reading a Malaysian Magazine backdated on Feb issue. Even the issue was backdated, never do the lessons. On a column by Rajen Devadason, he shares 5 'Money and Life' Ideas from Da Vinci. Leonardo Da Vinci, was also well-known with his greatest masterpiece named Mona Lisa. Past few years, he again was made well-known on the Da Vinci Code movie and novel. Here are the 5 Lessons:

1. 'One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself.'
In order for you to become the 'bigger' you, or to achieve what you want to be, you need to master yourself first. The level you are now is depends on what you have mastered. My easiest example is, Aminah, a clerk could never become a CEO of a large corporation, basically because she have never had mastered herself. Unless he grow and master herself, only he can made it to the top, regardless which approach she might take. Same goes to Tun Dr. Mahathir, cannot go small because his 'kasta' was high. It simply means, he has successfully master himself.

2. 'I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.'
The magic word here is 'ACTION'. Everybody can talk but very less can take action. I took this small action of writing this blog to share with you, the reader, immediately after reading this because I was motivated by this point. In other words, Da Vinci wants to explain that Knowledge is not Power. Knowledge is just a potential power.

3. 'He who wishes to be rich in a day will be hanged in a year'
As my earlier post, the keywords: "Delay Gratification". If you able to master this, your financial future is almost guaranteed.

4. 'Water us the driving force of all nature.'
In the article, Rajan mentioned that Da Vinci has deepest interest with water. The point here is, we were made 70% out of water. If majority of our part is water, doesn't it make sense to take more of it, rather than solid food?

5. 'It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.'
Like I heard before, the world is made out of 3 types of person:
i. People who make things happened.
ii. People who watch things happened.
iii. People are wondering, what had happened???

Which of the above categories you want to be at?

Turn Desires Into Gold

I would like to share the six steps recommended by Napoleon Hill inside "Think and Grow Rich" Chapter 2: Desire.

He clearly mentioned a method that can easily be applied to anybody who desire to become rich and wealthy.

"6 Ways To Turn Desires Into Gold"

1st: Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say "I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness which he described in other chapter of the book).

2nd: Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing").

3rd: Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

4th: Create a definite plan for carrying out you desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

5th: Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

6th: Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. As you read-see and feel and believe yourself already in possession of the money. It is important that you follow the instructions described in these 6 steps.

How to Win Friends and Influence People

Dale Carnegie has wrote the classic How To Win Friends and Influence People. I find it was an excellent book to read and the content is still relevant up-to today (not sure if in future, the way people communicate will be different).

To read a book might be a problem to some people. Not just lazy factor, busy with others activities and family commitment also makes reading more difficult. The easiest way to grab all the summary is by having somebody who have read it and understand it to explain to us.

By utilizing the modern technology and stuff, I would like to share with you guys on how I get the summary (at least I can revise some of the topic discussed in the book) with all of you guys. At least after watching this, you might want to decide whether to read the full book, or leave it at the bookshelves at the book stores.

Happy watching!

What is your life like

I found a nice quote by Anthony Robbins. A simple thing which could change the view look at your life and it will change your life.

Even if we're unaware of it, we constantly use metaphors to describe aspects of our lives. Metaphors shape our life's perspective. For example, if I asked you to describe for me, "What is life? Give me a metaphor. What's it like?" you might describe life as a battle, and someone else might call it a game, or a test, or a dance. These are called global metaphors because they affect many areas of your life simultaneously.
If you approach everything from the viewpoint that life is a battle, what is life like? It's hard; you could lose or get killed; the next person you meet on the street could be your enemy. What if life is a game? It could actually be fun. What if life is a dance? Maybe there's a natural rhythm to it.

Tony Robbins point is, you need to determine what you should look at your life. Make it simple. Life is full of happiness and richness. Full of success and freedom. I'll bet, starting from now, my life should be easier and more enjoyable. Except all the challenge as part of the riff or bridge of the song.

Marketing & U

I've been attending a 1 day course by Dr. Azizan Osman, Marketing & U on the 20th of May. It has been 11 days past the seminar, but it think it worth to spend RM1990 just to spend on a day. The input I think is almost you can get it anywhere in the book shops. You would not need that amount of money to search for that kind of informations. But, why I said it worth it? Because of the impact of the seminar. Dr. Azizan has the skills to give an impact to anybody. I think it is his field and expertise to do so and he has done a fantastic job!

Some FAQ:

What Did I Learn?
1. Declarations. 5 lines of declarations to program. (you'll understand better if you understand how law of attraction works)
2. Some basic marketing principle (ATL/BTL, USP etc.) But Dr. Azizan gives a different angle on how to look on these elements.
3. Hook point in every marketing strategies.
4. How to arrange your sentence so that the same message you send will give a huge impact to your prospect.
5. Pull factor is more powerful than Push factor and how to develop your pulling factor.
6. 3 plans of marketing + 73 types of marketing method.

When Can I Apply the Lessons?
Frankly speaking, I can apply the next day! However, sad thing is I only apply a week after.

What are the Impact of Applying the Suggested Strategies?
If you can apply the Plan A strategy, you will have another problem. You will running out of stock, or if you are in services industry, you will run out of hand.

Why Aren't People Attending Market Their Business Successfully?
They lack of 1 thing. None other than, Taking ACTION!

If you asked me is it worth it to attend? My honest answer would be, YES!

Keep the simple things done - The Key to Success

I just learn something from T. Harv Eker. To be successful it is easy. You need to do some simple thing. But most people does not do these easy things even though everybody knows these things.

I give you some example. Eating green vege, exercise 20 minutes 3 times a week, replying emails, be on time, keep the promise you've made. These are all easy things. But most people (not all) did not do these easy things. For me, I think some of the thing I need to improve is about timing. I always keep my works done on the deadline. i.e. if anything happens a few hours before my deadline, there I go. Exercise, have been talking over the media, campaign have been setup up.You can think for other example by yourself.

Harv emphasize on "It's the simple things done, over a long period of time, that will give you a constant and permanent result!"

5 Balls of Life

‘Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the
air. You name them – work, family, health, Friends and spirit and you’re
keeping all of these in the Air.
You will soon or one day understand that work is a rubber ball.
If you drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four Balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of
glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked,
nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must
understand that and strive for Balance in your life.’ - Bryan Dyson (CEO of Coca-Cola)
